Happy New Year!

I hope everyone had a safe and Happy New Year and I honestly hope that 2017 is a great year for everyone. I just wanted to put this out there that there is a lot of console/pc bashing. Yes we all have our favorite consoles and each one has their special sauce. But what I don't get is the hatred some have towards each other to the point of wanting to destroy someone. I know a lot of this bashing is brought on by some individuals that have nothing else to do. But some of us will take the high road and compliment the other while still maintaining our self respect. For those I applaud you.

With that said with 2017 we will have some awesome games coming to PSVR. First on January 24th we have the long awaited Resident Evil 7: Biohazard. I am sure many of us had played the Kitchen demo and all loved it. And with this being able to be played in full VR on the PSVR (timed exclusive) this truly is either going to be the best thing ever, or even Freddy Krueger will be scared.

But let's not just play this in VR on PSVR that will give us that immersive experience...no no no...that would just be too easy...let's add something to make this almost a 4D PSVR experience...let's add the smell of blood.

Gamestop has two versions of RE7. The first is the standard edition...

And if you preorder you get:

Pre-order Resident Evil 7 biohazard and receive the Survival Pack which includes:
Herbs
First Aid Med
Strong First Aid Med
Lucky Coin

Also includes Early unlock of "Madhouse Mode" difficulty

But you also get:

Pre-order and Purchase Resident Evil 7 biohazard and receive a Free Digital Copy of Resident Evil: Retribution for VUDU ($12.99 Value).

The Deluxe Edition includes all the above plus the season pass that includes 4 short stories and 1 addition story that adds to the main one.

Then on March 14th, we have Star Trek Bridge Crew VR. For me I was never really into Star Trek, but after playing Werewolves Within (Review coming), then I am all in on Star Trek Bridge Crew VR.
Star Trek: Bridge Crew puts you and your friends in the heart of a starship, where - as officers of the Federation - every action and decision you make together will determine the fate of your ship and crew.

  • Developed exclusively for VR, Star Trek: Bridge Crew is the only game to offer a true-to-life level of immersion in the Star Trek universe.
  • DESIGNED SPECIFICALLY FOR VR -Hand tracking with full-body avatars and lip-sync allow players to experience what it's like to serve as an officer on the bridge of a starship.
  • OPERATE AS A CREW -Make strategic decisions and coordinate actions with your crew. In co-op, players can form a crew of four to serve in the roles of Captain, Helm, Tactical, and Engineer.
  • A UNIQUE SHIP FOR A UNIQUE MISSION -Take command of the USS Aegis, the first ship of her kind.
  • A SHARED GALACTIC ADVENTURE -Communication, trust, and close crew coordination are the keys to victory.

Later this year we will have Farpoint, which I am looking forward to very much and to use the Aim Controller. No release date yet, but GameStop has it listed for $79.99 with the Aim Controller and $49.99 without. And even though this will work on the regular PS4 and Slim, you will get the best visuals, even if a just a tad more improvement on the PS4 PRO.

I am still waiting on more info on other PSVR titles to come in with the dates and prices. So for 2017 what games or experiences are you looking forward to? You can always send a tweet out to me @PSGamingVR and I always reply. Until next time, continue to enjoy your time, remember to keep gaming on and have a Happy New Year!
