When one posts a pic, the Internet will spread the fire...

This past week there was a pic of how much space one might actually need for psvr. In this pic you see what the area covered by the camera and a person sitting in a chair. In the manual it says 60 square feet is recommended and that it is recommended that you sit while playing PSVR. Below is the pic that spread an Internet first that reporters from different sites posted and of course without really reading spread the rumor. Below is that pic.

But what Sony is really saying is that since you will have the PSVR on your head, that the "recommended" space is more for safety as you will not be able to see your surroundings. Some games that require the Move controllers that allow you to pick up items, you might (probably) have to stand and move a little bit. Sony is being proactive here and thinking ahead. The last thing they want is for someone to get hurt, because they were playing and since you may not be aware of surroundings and immersed in the game or experience all while wearing the PSVR on their head and they certainly do not want a law suit.

Now if any of you have done the PSVR experience at your local Bestbuy or Gamestop you will notice that the space from the tv and the camera to where you are sitting is definitely not 60 square feet. It's more like this...
Since the camera tracks the lights on the PSVR helmet, you don't need that much space to enjoy. So come October 13th, 2016 when all of us finally get the opportunity to have this in our homes, please...please know where you are going to have this set up. It's your home and you should know with your eyes closed and in pitch darkness where things are, if not, please get a blindfold and practice. Also remember if your only time to play is at night when everyone is asleep, remember even though you are immersed in that game or experience and you will feel like you are there, others sleeping around you will not. Now of course come January when Resident Evil 7 comes out and we all scream, that will be a different story.

So Gamescom is happening from August 17th - August 21st and hopefully we will get more release dates so that we can pre order more games. So I will keep adding what I can. So until then, everyone enjoy your week and since Monday is August 1st, that means we will only have 73 days until awesomeness.

Unleash the PS VR news...

I wish someone would. I know we are about to be under the 80 mark and the release date is getting closer. I have added some more trailers for some PSVR games and on the October section added new games that from all the information gathered, seem to be day one launch titles. Games like Robinson: The Journey I am very excited about and experiences like Job Simulator will show what fun the PSVR can do. Well if anyone needs any help with a break down to make it seem like October 13th, 2016 is not that far off, here you go:

Today Saturday July 23, 2016 is around the 30 day mark until school starts again.

Two weeks from that is Labor Day so for most that is a 3 day weekend.

Two weeks from that is where some pumpkin patches and farms are opening up and here we go with the fall weather.

Two weeks from that, hello October and less than two weeks we will have the launch of the PSVR.

I still plan on adding and keeping this blog going as I enjoy it and I hope you are as well.

Trailers and a VR Tomb

I hope everyone is having an awesome Tuesday. I decided to add trailers by alphabetical order so that way no one really has to search and destroy to find them. I will keep adding as soon as I can. I know there is still some that need to be added and will be added very soon.

It was announced today that Rise Of The Tomb Raider is coming to PS4 this October 11th. Why is this VR news, well it seems not only can you play as any of the past Laura Crofts, yes even the original PlayStation skin, but there will be a new level with zombies and a PSVR level will be included. It is great to see more VR content coming to PlayStation. Now if we can get Last Of Us 2 in VR.

Everyone have a safe rest of the night and remember to have fun and get your VR Gaming On!

Lots of games coming out on launch day. What games will you end up getting?

So check out the Release Date section se see what games and experiences are coming out. Also, if you are not sure about VR yet, try out the demo near you by visiting PlayStation VR Experience and you never know, this may be the experience you have been waiting for. Until next time, Game On.

Let the pre-ordering of VR games begin...

Well I was at GameStop last night to cancel a few pre-orders. I had No Man's Sky preordered since day 1 and I am still very excited for that and will get it, but the game cannot be beat, so I figured there is no rush and will get it probably around Christmas as it will probably be on sale. I know I know the game should be epic, but with all the PlayStation VR coming out in October, I can wait. I was also going to get my Son Skylanders Imaginators, but for Black Friday and Christmas it will be half off. So I saw an alert that if you pre-order Song of the Deep you get a power pack and 1,000 power up reward points. The game is only $14.99 so why not, plus I am helping support the developers.

So after I got home last night I decided to look at the GameStop app and put in ps vr. Up until yesterday it only had the Launch bundle and the PSVR headset with out of stock and the PSVR headset holder from Power A that not only displays your PSVR headset, but charges two PlayStation Move controllers and one PS4 controller. It's a little pricey at $49.99, but unless something comes out before hand or if maybe you want a mannequin head on display. I honestly tried to use my Planet of the Apes head and since my wife really hates Planet of the Apes (hence why I have it, plus it holds all the movies, tv shows and cartoon in the bust of the head), I went ahead and preordered this. It comes out September 19th, 2016.

When I looked at the app last night I see that they added some PSVR games and I will say this, not only does that add to the fuel of excitement, but the pricing is pretty sweet as well. So let's look at what you can pre-order and who knows there may be something that you didn't think about.

PlayStation VR World: This is the one that has been at all the PlayStation VR demos. This comes bundled with the launch bundle that includes the PSVR helmet, two PlayStation Move controllers, camera and PlayStation VR Worlds. But for those that did not get in on that bundle and just got the headset, you can still on October 13th, pick up this title and pre-order it here:

RIGS Mechanized Combat League VR: I look at this and cannot help getting excited. It's like a mix of Rocket League and Mech Warrior + MLG but all in VR. I thought this would be a $60.00 game, but it's only $49.99 and coming out October 13th, 2016. You can pre-order here:

A good day...

Well we are getting closer to the official release date of PlayStation VR. I don't know about you, but I am truly excited. There is a demo today of PSVR and trust me it's killing me by not going, but there is a reason why I am not going out to try it and I will explain why. Too many times we get excited about things and when we get that little speck of taste, we want more and then we can't get more because it's not out yet. Ever since seeing Lawnmower Man, The Matrix, and anything of that virtual tone to it, I knew one day that it would be here

Happy 4th of July

I hope everyone has a safe and Happy 4th of July. For those that have to go back to work tomorrow, please be careful out there. No one's life or car is worth someone who is impatient and running late. I have been adding some trailers with links to the sites. The more I read about Resident Evil the more I have a feeling that come January, there is going to be a lot people getting scared in VR and since around that time the weather will be cold and could be icy, what else will you do? It also looks like Star Wars Battlefront VR mission is on track for a holiday release. Eve: Valkyrie is scheduled for an Oct. 13th release date along side with PSVR.

Games are not the only thing to get excited about, movies and YouTube content that can be viewed. VR is about making you part of that experience

Good things to come.

As we enter July, we are about 3 and half months away from the PlayStation VR release date. Who is excited? Who is getting one? Or are you going to just wait and see?

Now is the time to get a excited about VR. VR is a new way to bring you into the game, story, or place. Just think about it...what if you could go anywhere in the world and feel like your on vacation? What if you could enter that universe such as Star Wars and be part of it and what if you could go to your favorite concert and be right there all without the traffic and or being injured in that mosh pit?

These are all questions that can be possible to experience. Games like Batman VR that will let you experience being Batman or Resident Evil 7 where the whole game can be played in VR. Movies are coming to VR. In fact this December, Jesus VR will becoming to PlayStation VR. Sure you can laugh at it or even just push it off to the side. But for me I am happy to experience it.

As we get closer to release date and as more info comes about, I will will update this blog and hopefully can have some true VR fun.
